Contract: Substantive
Hours: Frequency 1:13; Category A - 3% on call supplement
Location: 73 Axe Street, Barking, IG11 7LZ.
Qualifications needed:
1. Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
2. CCT or equivalent
3. Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
4. Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
5. Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

We are currently recruiting to a Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Barking and Dagenham CAMHS Community Team. This is an established, substantive, full-time post - 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 7.5:2.5). This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
You will join 2.4wte CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, 2wte Specialty Doctors, and a Core Trainee within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.
Job responsibilities
You will be expected to:
1. Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Barking and Dagenham.
2. Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
3. Work directly with children and young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
4. Participate in the on-call rota (frequency is currently 1:13, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement).
5. Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative.
6. Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
