Your Responsibilities
This position requires a proficiency for independent problem solving and decision making with general direction given on project objectives and broad guidance from corporate strategy and goals. The following duties may be performed at all levels within the progression:
* Review and understanding of customer requirements at a deep level.
* Create Detailed Test plans, and Product Verification Plan & Reports (PVP&Rs).
* Interface with customer/design team for test plan approvals and test results reviews.
* Support engineering design team meetings and lead discussions when necessary.
* Evaluate and provide applicable and accurate test proposals based on modules/design changes.
* Create and maintain accurate timing plans using Microsoft Project.
* Interface with design team for detailed design deliverables.
* Initiate mechanical design activities for Vibration and Environmental test fixtures development.
* Perform studies to ensure Vibration fixtures do not add resonance to the end product.
* Root cause failure modes detected during validation testing.
* Identify tester or module problems using 8D formats.
* Proficient in data analysis and identifying trends.
* Coordinate and track internal/external testing.
* Maintain Validation Testing items up to date in the Validation Tools System.
* Hands-on testing, creating/moving setups and monitoring tests.
* Review DFMEA for possible situations during testing.
* Support quoting process, providing number of engineering hours and costs.
* Document incidents in applicable tools in case of validation failures.
Who we are looking for
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in an engineering automotive environment.
* Technical understanding of environmental level testing.
* Technical understanding of Electrical and EMC level testing.
* Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, and project management.
* Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.

* Ability to conceptualize, coordinate, and integrate internal data.
* Experience using test equipment such as DMM, Oscilloscope, Video Scope.
* Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
* Ability to work independently.

* Ability to research, recommend, present information and oversee implementation of new products.
