Job description
Our client, a leading electricity distributor in the UK, is looking for a highly skilled individual to join their Network Operations and Control team. As a High Voltage Control Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a section of the distribution network, ensuring network security, and maintaining compliance with safety procedures.
You will work closely with the Network Manager and operate from the Fore Hamlet - Ipswich (Sometimes Bury) office. As part of your role, you will use SCADA and other network information systems to monitor and control the high voltage network. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in providing technical advice, rapid response to faults, and maintaining the availability of supply.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in working with high voltage systems, either as an Authorised Person, Senior Authorised Person, or as a Control Engineer on electricity distribution systems. A good understanding of the Distribution Safety Rules and other relevant procedures is essential. You must also have excellent IT skills and the ability to process information quickly to ensure prompt and efficient response to faults and other unplanned situations.
Our client offers a competitive salary range of £58,229 - £71,914 per annum, along with a bonus of 3%.
