As part of an exciting and ambitious digital transformation strategy, the University of Surrey is currently seeking an Azure Integration Developer to join our team, responsible for developing and supporting Azure integration solutions based on the Integration Team development framework.
The IT team at Surrey are plugged in to the whole University, and our digital transformation work underpins the University’s renewed strategy. IT is growing our digital transformation capability, improving student experience, and helping increase our research impact, all while maturing how we operate and creating the type of working environment that we want to work in.
This is a fixed-term position initially available until April 2026.
The Role:
Working with team members and other relevant IT Teams and areas of the University business, you’ll work to ensure that system integration solutions are delivered efficiently and in accordance with the IT Integration strategy, complementing wider IT and University strategies and initiatives.
As part of our Integration Services team, you’ll ensure that system integration solutions are delivered effectively and in accordance with the IT Integration Strategy. This will also complement wider business strategies and initiatives, supporting the University’s Digital Transformation across a number of key workstreams, including (but not limited to):
* Flexible Learning Technology & Spaces
* Learning Analytics & student success
* Seamless student journey
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver integration solutions in accordance with the Integration Team development framework/strategy (Azure ADO), this may involve co-ordinating work with third party consultants/suppliers.
* Work with Integration team to evolve the Azure Integration Platform and assist with continued ‘knowledge transfer’ to Integration Team members.
* Create and maintain operational and support documentation for newly implemented integrations.
* Pro-actively contribute to the support and development of existing integrations.
* Assist with integration based service incidents and change requests, ensuring that at all times requests are handled correctly and the service offering is to the highest standard.
* Pro-actively contribute to continual service improvement of integration procedures, to improve working practices and the services offered to the University.
