What You'll Be Doing:
As an Assistant HSE Engineer, you will:
1. Support the Site Management Team in implementing the 3 P Plan (People, Plant, and Processes).
2. Develop and implement project-specific HSE procedures and arrangements.
3. Ensure compliance with statutory and legislative HSE requirements, reporting non-compliances as necessary.
4. Assist in the development of pre-construction information and construction phase safety plans, ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
5. Assist in contractor management, including selection, review of method statements and risk assessments, and site monitoring.
6. Provide guidance on all HSE matters, including induction training and monthly performance reporting.
7. Conduct regular HSE walks, report findings, and coach the team on best practices.
8. Collaborate with internal teams and regulatory bodies to ensure ongoing HSE improvement and compliance.
What You Could Have:
1. A keen interest in Health & Safety operations with some sort of previous experience in a role where Health & Safety is something you have engaged with.
2. You could have some sort of qualification in Health and Safety (Not required).
3. An interest in developing a career and stepping foot into a swiftly developing environment.
