Position Summary We're looking for an experienced Packaging Specialist to join our team in Wisbech. The Wisbech factory is growing and has significant investment planned in the next 5 years. A day in the life of Packaging Specialist Reporting into the Engineering Manager, as a packaging specialist you will be responsible for the providing packaging leadership as Packaging Platform Team representative in the Factory. Leading the Packaging activities related to the implementation of I&R projects (material, concept) whist being the advocate for Packaging Quality in the factory. Other key activities will include: - Responsible to coordinate solutions during and after implementation of I&R project for packaging related issues through strong collaboration with Factory Product Process Specialist. - Provide inputs and support line commissioning and packaging validation for Capex or Capacity expansion projects - Give input to central experts (e.g. Central Pack Team, TAP Packaging team) for the development of packaging standards/UOS. Attend/participate to UOS audit in factory. - Drive within the factory, packaging related 360 quality improvement to consistently deliver packaging quality from incoming packaging material through supply chain - Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects/initiatives to impact packaging performance in the factory - Initiate, Identify, Support & Implement packaging related cost improvement initiatives for appropriate factory. - Contribute to the development & journey of the factory master plan and drive continuous improvement through motivating and engaging the workforce and building their capability. What will make you successful First, we are looking for someone who has worked within a packaging role within complex manufacturing environment, who is passionate about driving continuous improvements principles and has the ability to influence others. Other key attributes we are looking for are: - Proven experience within a packaging role within a factory environment. - People Management and development experience including employee relations. - Experience with leading and driving continuous improvement activities. - Ideally, you will be educated to degree level in a Packaging, mechanics, industrial engineering or Chemistry subject. - You will be credible, approachable and a strong character - able to gain the buy in of key stakeholders on site and across the wider business and flex your style as appropriate. - Experience leading and been part of multiple projects, managing multiple priorities.
