Job summary University Hospitals of Derby & Burton are seeking to recruit a Consultant Medical Oncologist, who together with 17 other Consultant Oncologists will provide a comprehensive service for the people of Southern Derbyshire and East Staffordshire. We are looking for a Medical Oncologist that have particular interests in Lung, CRC and Germ Cell but are open to discussions around these, knowing flexibility is important. The posts are based at the Royal Derby Hospital with work at Queens Hospital Burton which provide Cancer Services for the population of Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire. If your preference is for less than full time hours, we have a number of potential job plans including a one tumour site 6 PA post working either 4 days per week or 5 days per week. Main duties of the job The appointee will be responsible for: - Provision of a comprehensive service in Oncology with consultant colleagues, including new patient and follow-up clinics at Derby and Burton. The Department also undertakes a variety of joint clinics with other specialties. - Provision of emergency cover and reciprocal cover for your consultantcolleagues during reasonable periods of leave, on a shared basis.
