We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Secretary in the Community Paediatric Team based at Colchester Hospital.
This is a fixed term/secondment post until 30/06/2025 for 22.5 hours per week, also fixed term/secondment until 31/10/2026.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is flexible and has excellent typing, administration, and communication skills. You will need to ensure all clinical correspondence is typed and processed within specific timescales.
You will work as part of a friendly secretarial team in a busy and vibrant office. You will need to be able to prioritise your workload, work without direct supervision, and also use your initiative.

Duties will include:
1. Consistent provision of comprehensive and efficient secretarial and administrative support.
2. Utilising and incorporating the required technology/hospital systems including Big Hand/Evolve/Medway and any other new technology or system(s) that are introduced.
3. Using your own initiative, managing, prioritising, planning, and organising your own time using extensive knowledge, skills, and experience.
4. Being a ‘Team Player’ working in a way that encourages high performance from other staff, with the aim of maintaining optimum efficiency within the department.
5. Supporting other team members to deliver an efficient administrative and secretarial service.
