Driven by personally lived experience, The Protective Care Group was born to provide bespoke, tailor-made support for young people with severe and complex needs, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviour. We specialise in providing a level of support that local authorities are often unable to; support that makes a real difference to somebody’s quality of life and future prospects.
We care deeply about the services we provide but we’re also very ambitious and growing quickly across the UK. To Support with this growth, we are seeking two regional managers to cover various areas within the North East.
Please note, although these roles are advertised in specific areas, you will be expected to work anywhere in the North East and attend our Sunderland office.
As part of our senior leadership team within the North East region, you will:
* Effectively lead Managers and Deputy Managers, ensuring they drive a culture of excellence and respect.
* Build positive and effective working relationships with all field based and head office staff.
* Carry out regular and meaningful 1-2-1s with your managers and deputies.
* Where necessary, manage performance or behaviours which fall below standards.
* Lead by example with a calm, empathetic and trauma informed approach.
* Engage with both internal and external stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for not just PCG but our YPs.
* Strive for excellence by continually improving the services you manage, identifying opportunities for growth at all times.
* Promote an educated approach to regulation, compliance and risk management and ensure all reporting is continually being improved in line with these areas.
* Provide ad-hoc cover when required.
Requirements
You’ll be a strong manager and an inspirational leader who’s able to influence at a senior level as well as paying attention to the detail. You will also have:
* 5 years of experience working in a management role within either social care, children's services or with vulnerable people.
* An understanding of social healthcare policies and procedures.
* Both knowledge and experience of children and young people with complex needs such as ASD, ADHD, Attachment disorders, Trauma, PTSD, Challenging behaviour and more.
* A clear understanding of Child Safeguarding, PREVENT, CCE and Trauma Informed Practice.
* Experience with budget management spanning multiple services.
* Be educated to a minimum of Level 5 within Health and Social Care.
