As a Customer Sales Advisor, you will confidently and impartially sell the full range of tickets and services, including processing high volumes of sales, and ensure that customer requirements are met and exceeded.
Your main responsibilities will be:
1. Providing the highest level of customer service and being proactive to customer needs
2. Accurately and impartially selling the full range of products and services to our customers in a friendly, professional and efficient manner
3. Maximising opportunities for increased sales at ticket offices by adopting selling techniques and offering enhanced products to customers
4. Carrying out routine maintenance and cleaning of ticket machines and IT equipment
5. Accurately completing all accountancy and other associated documentation.
Maintaining TVMs at the station
You'll need to be:
6. Able to deliver exceptional front-line customer service
7. Able to understand customer requirements and expectations
8. A Self-starter with a can-do attitude
9. Confident when decision making
10. Able to remain calm yet directive in a crisis
11. Able to work to strict procedures
As a minimum you will need to have:
12. The ability to work as part of a team or independently
13. Evidence of numerical ability
14. Attention to detail
15. Strong verbal and written communication skills
16. Customer Service Experience
Working pattern
This role will require you to work a variety of shifts which will include early starts and late finishes as well as weekends and bank holiday working. Your starting and finishing times may be at times when public transport is not available, so you must be able to get to and from the station without relying on this.
Additional information
This is a temporary role for 12 months covering maternity leave. It is part time for 18 hours per week.
The role requires shift working including weekends and bank holidays.
Interviews will take place on w/c 25th November 2024.
Applicants short listed will be invited to a competency-based Interview. The successful candidate will be required to meet the medical standard for the role, including a drugs and alcohol screen. A Basic DBS is also required.
Full training is provided, covering full time hours (35 per week) and the training takes place in our Training Centre in Swindon.
