An experienced Procurement & Technical Manager with a strong background in the furniture industry is required to join a well-established luxury bespoke kitchen manufacturer based in Sidcup, Kent, on a full-time basis. With a rich heritage in producing high-end, tailor-made kitchens, this company is known for combining craftsmanship with modern innovation. The role plays a central part in ensuring efficient procurement and production processes, and in maintaining the company’s outstanding reputation for quality. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments including Sales, CAD, Production and Assembly, helping to manage supplier relationships and source the latest components and materials to meet client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, while seeking out new alternatives to meet the business’s needs Oversee the full purchase order process, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries Handle delivery coordination and resolve issues related to quality, lead times or discrepancies Attend supplier factory visits and relevant exhibitions to stay updated on innovation and quality standards Work alongside CAD, Production and Sales teams to provide technical advice and assist with material and pricing solutions Manage procurement-related administration, including CRM updates, ISO 9001 audits, stock control, and reporting Support material cost estimation for quotations and project pricing Negotiate pricing and supply terms with both new and current suppliers Report to the Managing Director Required Skills and Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a procurement/technical management role within the luxury furniture or joinery manufacturing sector Familiarity with furniture assembly and joinery mill processes Knowledge of quality accreditation and quality control systems Strong administrative, numerical and written skills Understanding of the full procurement lifecycle including inspections and goods inward Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team Strong attention to detail and ability to offer innovative, problem-solving solutions Sounds interesting?
