About The Role: As a Behaviour Support, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with behavioural difficulties, working closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include both classroom assistance and individualised interventions, ensuring each student receives the necessary support to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities of Behaviour Support:
* Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the inclusion and engagement of students with behavioural challenges.
* Provide targeted support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours, implementing effective strategies to promote positive behaviour.
* Employ effective techniques to manage crises and behavioural incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive support plans.
* Track and document student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of personalised behaviour support plans.
The successful candidate will:
* Have prior experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of students and support different teaching strategies.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
