JOB TITLE: Business Development Executive
DEPARTMENT: Business Development
REPORTING TO: Business Development Director
WORKING HOURS: Typical work schedule 07:00 – 16:30 GMT, Mon-Fri. 45 Hours per week.
ROLE PURPOSE STATEMENT:
To move projects through the pipeline to secure quality quoting enquiries on suitable projects by building rapport and connecting with all influencers and decision makers. The role of the Business Development team at Paragon Design is successfully completed when a qualified Quoting Opportunity is received from the client. The role is focused on phone-based selling/prospecting.
TASK OVERVIEW:
* To identify, qualify and develop new relationships at all levels within stakeholder organisations to generate awareness of PDJ value offer
* Participation in zone periods of intense activity
* Key contact identification
* Introductions to Paragon
* Networking
* Increasing GAP scores
* Booking appointments for BDD
* Attend appointments and take part in presentations (if required)
KPIs:
* Lead: Qty of MSIs per week
* Lead: Qty of appointments booked for BDD
* Lag: Qty of qualified quoting enquiries secured per week
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION PROCESS:
* 6-month probation including 360-degree peer feedback
* Monthly 1-2-1 catch up meetings with line manager
SKILLS:
* Rapid rapport building
* Pattern recognition in client behaviour
EXPERIENCE:
* Success in phone-based selling/prospecting
* Prior successful experience in business development
* Exposure to construction industry a significant advantage
