This practice has experienced significant growth, expanding to include an integrated referral centre and a network of 10 branch surgeries, supported by a dedicated team of 160. They are seeking an experienced vet to join their friendly team and take on a varied caseload that will enhance their skills and career. The RCVS-accredited Tier 3 Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, various scopes, dental radiography, a CO2 laser, laparoscopy, a 64-slice CT scanner, and a 1.5T MRI scanner. With the capability to handle a wide range of cases, from complex medical work-ups to spinal surgery, the practice offers extensive in-house exposure. The team features certificate holders in advanced veterinary practice, small animal surgery, medicine, and radiology, as well as advanced practitioners in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, oncology, and zoo and wildlife medicine. This role offers a 50/50 split between the hospital and one of the branches, providing equal opportunities for consulting and operating duties. The practice is committed to supporting veterinary interests and offers a diverse caseload for those looking to pursue additional certification. The environment promotes case continuity, encouraging vets to bring their patients from the branches to the hospital for non-routine surgeries. Support is always available, whether for discussing challenging cases or arranging mentorship for unfamiliar surgeries. You will also spend one week approximately every two months as the inpatient-only vet at the hospital, managing inpatients and providing intensive care.
