Position Type: Permanent, Full time 37.5 hours per week Salary: Band 7, £46,148 - £52,809 Gynaecology Provide a highly specialised service to Gynaecology cancer patients undergoing External Beam Radiotherapy (EBRT) and High Dose-Rate Brachytherapy (HDR), implementing best practice and evidence-based practice. Ensure that the patient pathway is run efficiently to ensure the continuity of care, effective use of resources and to ensure that all cancer targets, both locally and nationally, are achieved. Operate as RPS for Brachytherapy Service. Managing Classified Worker Status, quarterly source stick training, annual radiation protection training, working closely with Medical Physics RPA and MPEs. Undertake on-treatment review to manage radiotherapy patient side effects. To undertake outpatient clinics for radiotherapy follow up, as referred by the Clinical Oncologist To promote high professional standards, acting as a role model within the team, ensuring consistency of practice while also being able to make evidence-based decisions. Provide leadership, supervision and support to staff within the oncology team including regular 1-1s and appraisals. Be an active member of the Multi-disciplinary team; Operate inter-professionally between the MDT, radiotherapy physics, diagnostic Radiology, theatres, Ward, anaesthetics and pre-op assessment staff, radiographers, and Gynae CNS advising and referring as necessary for each patient. Lead and participate in radiotherapy service development projects, research and audit for both EBRT and Brachytherapy Undertake EBRT treatments and Brachytherapy treatments for Gynae patients on a rotational basis, depending on the demands of the Brachytherapy service For further information, please refer to the attachedJob Description
