WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our London office.
About this opportunity
The Global Investors & Listed team is a coverage business within the Real Estate & Housing business, a key part of the Client Solutions Groups (“CSG”). CSG is responsible for the overall management of relationships for Corporate and Financial Institutional clients whose turnover exceeds £100m.
Lloyds is a leading provider of commercial real estate finance and the Global Investors & Listed team delivers efficiently structured solutions to domestic and international private equity, insurance, pension, sovereign wealth and family office sponsors and listed companies that are tailored to their investment objectives.
We originate, structure, implement and distribute a wide range of products, from term investment loans and revolving credit facilities to more sophisticated development, bridging and business plan driven financings. We are able to provide fully underwritten facilities of all sizes against all major asset classes on both a secured and unsecured basis as well as a full suite of rates, currency hedging, DCM and global transaction banking solutions.
Sector knowledge while advantageous is not a prerequisite; we're looking for a highly motivated, mobile, organised individual who is keen to develop their relationship management skills and progress themselves through professional qualifications with a view to moving forward their career aspirations and pursuing our ‘Transform’ strategic pillar.
What you’ll be doing
* Analysis and financial modelling for commercial real estate financing: Conduct detailed financial analysis and modelling to support decision-making across various asset classes for investment, development and repositioning loans, both bilateral and syndicated. Assess the underlying drivers of the income and real estate fundamentals.
* Loan structuring and execution: Determine heads of terms, review and support directors with negotiation of documentation with clients.
* Preparing detailed credit memos and presentations: Analysis and presentation to key internal stakeholders on new business/financing opportunities, develop comprehensive documents for credit and pricing committees.
* Assisting in discussions with clients and advisers: Facilitate effective communication and negotiations.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders: Ability to deliver concise and coherent presentations on short notice, working closely with KYC onboarding, legal, and banking teams to ensure client’s operational banking and loan management requirements are met, working with the Transaction Execution team to ensure legal and other documentation is aligned with credit sanction, Bank and Regulatory policy to minimise risk.
* Portfolio Management: Ongoing facility monitoring including covenant compliance, revaluations and capex programmes, supporting with refinancing of existing loans and ensuring that stakeholders such as credit are informed of any issues as they arise, working in a ‘client first’ manner. Assist in the preparation and monitoring of Client Account plans and reporting for the sector in order to meet profitability RWA, balance sheet requirements.
* Participating in ad hoc workstreams: Engage in various additional tasks/projects as needed. Strong adherence to MIFID, Financial Promotions, FCA regulation in the context of being the ‘Best Bank for our Customers’ and Helping Britain Prosper.
What we need from you
* Experience: Real estate finance transactions is beneficial, with development financing experience particularly advantageous.
* Relationship management: Collaborate, engage and encourage a broad range of stakeholders and personalities, for both external clients and internal partners.
* Strong Excel skills: Essential for data analysis and cash flow modelling.
* Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines: Crucial for managing varied responsibilities, delivering results under tight deadlines, and planning and organising to ensure client and team day-to-day requirements are met.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills: Both written and spoken.
* Self-motivation and strong work ethic: Important for success in this role.
