About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 Functional Skills Tutor to support learners in achieving their qualifications in English, Maths, and/or ICT. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to learners who benefit from personalised, one-to-one teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, tailored Functional Skills lessons in English, Maths, and/or ICT
Create individual learning plans based on learners’ starting points and goals
Track and record learner progress effectively
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement
Prepare learners for formal assessments
Liaise with other professionals to ensure consistent support
Adapt resources and teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles and abilities
Essential Requirements:
Teaching qualification
Proven experience teaching Functional Skills
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to engage and motivate learners with diverse needs
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
