£39,513 - £43,693 per year. Full time and Permanent. Due to increasing demands on the Housing Options service and responsibilities of the Casework Team expanding, this is a new additional post in Housing Options and will involve sharing the responsibilities of managing the Casework Team with another Casework Team Leader.
The post holder will be responsible for shared line management of the Casework Team who provide the front line service for households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The team are involved in homelessness assessment, prevention and the provision of temporary accommodation. You will contribute to the strategic development of the Housing Options Service ensuring the Council's homelessness duties are met. You will be responsible for supervisory staff and team meetings and training to ensure the performance of the team is effectively managed. The post involves working collaboratively with many partner agencies to ensure a coordinated response to homelessness within the area as well as attending necessary multi agency meetings. Knowledge of housing policy and homelessness legislation is essential along with strong leadership and managerial skills.
