To provide Specialty Doctor support in the General Medicine (GM) Department with responsibility for the diagnosis and treatment of patients on GIM wards. The post holder will gain a wide range of experience in all aspects of work within the GM. He/she will be expected to work as a middle grade doctor covering GM wards. There will always be consultant available for supervision. During this time the post holder will work primarily in GM areas at RSUH. This post has been created to provide dedicated middle grade support to the GM service at UHNM., You will join an enthusiastic and dedicated team, working alongside the Consultants, other Specialty doctors, Junior training fellows and nursing team. The job plan will be flexible enough to accommodate preferences of the post holder for subspecialty experience including out-patient clinics and inpatient medical sub-specialty experience. You will be expected to rotate through duties and responsibilities with other middle grade doctors in the GM ward. In addition, you will be required to participate in audit, teaching, training and research.
