Content Writer and Editor - Inclusion Professional Development
Location: UK remote (options for office/hybrid working available)
Annual Salary: £25,500 per annum
Contract: 12 months fixed term

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (core hours 10am-2pm Monday-Friday)
As an Inclusion CPD Content Writer and Editor for Twinkl CPD, you will play a vital role in researching, creating and presenting professional development content focused on inclusion. Your work will directly support educators in building their knowledge and confidence in fostering inclusive learning environments. A key part of this role involves researching and creating Twinkl CPD resources that provide practical guidance, strategies, and insights into inclusive education. We are looking for someone innovative and passionate about breaking down complex ideas into accessible, actionable content for educators at all levels.
To succeed in the role, you will:
1. have completed qualified teacher status: PGCE, B.Ed or equivalent;
2. have a minimum of 2 years of full classroom teaching experience in the UK after QTS/ECT is complete;
3. have experience of teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream classroom;
4. have detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum in England;
5. have experience and knowledge about SEND provision for children with a range of specific needs in the classroom;
6. be confident in preparing and delivering online professional development courses that help educators to embed inclusion into their classroom practice;
7. be a fantastic communicator who thrives when working in a close-knit team;
8. be prepared to confidently work between different IT platforms, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and G Suite;
9. understand the teaching community in England, knowing their unique pressures and current educational trends;
10. regularly stay up to date with inclusion related terminology;
11. have a drive for continuous professional development.
In this role, you will learn:
1. how to ideate and create diverse, inclusive and engaging professional development content for educators;
2. how to check content and provide feedback for other writers;
3. how to work in ‘agile’ teams, allowing you to solve problems and change tasks quickly to meet deadlines;
4. how to apply your expertise in inclusive education to develop training materials, guidance documents, and other professional learning resources;
5. how to apply your teaching experience to create new products, from ideation stage to publication;
6. how to use Project Tracking software as well as other in-house systems;
7. to advise and edit sensitive resources based on a range of diverse needs and abilities;
8. to work as part of the wider Inclusion team at Twinkl.

* National Leader for Inclusion, Georgina Durrant,
* Your own direct Line Manager,
* Our team of qualified teachers who currently write, edit and produce content for the Inclusion team,
* Our amazing in-house designers, illustrators and videographers, collaborating daily to produce the beautiful, polished resources that Twinkl are known for.

2. Ability to develop high-quality CPD content that supports educators in implementing inclusive practices.
3. Experience working in an educational setting in the UK, with a strong understanding of inclusive education strategies.
4. Excellent written communication skills, including strong SPaG proficiency.
5. A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
