Role: Temporary Social Care & Safeguarding Quality Assurance Lead
Contract Length: 3 months initially
Location: Barnsley, Hybrid
Pay Rate: £23.03 per hour PAYE + c15% accrued holiday + pension contribution. You will be paid an hour PAYE for the length of the contract
Hours per week: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role
Our client is looking for the top talent to join the Quality Assurance and Improvement Service within Children’s Social Care and Safeguarding as a key player in ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding. This position will have a direct impact on children's social care, targeted early help, and services for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
You'll be working closely with Quality Assurance Officers to shape and enhance the service delivery, making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the Multi-Agency Quality Assurance Framework and deliver the auditing programme.
2. Analyse and develop the partnership data scorecard to drive improvements.
3. Plan, coordinate, and deliver multi-agency audits, aligning them with partnership priorities and scrutiny recommendations.
4. Oversee the multi-agency audit schedule and work plan, ensuring timely execution.
5. Review both single and multi-agency audits, providing in-depth analysis of key findings.
6. Present audit results and insights in written reports to stakeholders and key groups.
7. Support the work of the Multi-Agency Audit and Performance Group, contributing to strategic decisions.
About You
We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with:
1. A degree or professional qualification ideally within Social Care (or equivalent).
2. Strong experience in auditing and reviewing social care practice, aligning with national best practice standards.
3. Demonstrated ability in drafting policies, procedures, and guidance in line with local and national standards.
4. Exceptional analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences.
5. A collaborative approach and a passion for driving quality improvements in social care and safeguarding.
