Main duties of the job To manage the ventilated, haemofiltered, and cardiovascularly compromisedpatient initially under supervision, whilst developing professionally, utilisingcompetency based Knowledge & Skills Framework (KSF) leading to autonomy ofcare when proficient, in conjunction with further development of managementskills. Support Nurse Team Leaders and Nurse Team Managers in the training anddevelopment of junior staff. Demonstrate proficiency in the management of acutely unwell / deterioratingpatients nursed outside the critical care setting, ie Recovery and EmergencyDepartment. Keep fully informed about changes in Critical Care, Outreach and update professional knowledge to meet the requirements for Revalidation. Plan and deliver patient care to the highest standard utilising a holistic research-based model and including patient and relative involvement.
