Our Team: This is an exciting role within the Community Safety and Protection division to deliver a quality victim focused response to reported issues of crime and anti-social behaviour. Utilising restorative practice and early interventions to support victims, encourage behavioural change and prevent re-victimisation working with alleged offenders to divert them away from crime and anti-social behaviour. The post holder will take responsibility for the management of casework relating to anti-social behaviour and crime – victim and offender focussed – and will work closely with partners to reduce re-victimisation and/or re-offending. The post holder will have responsibility for community engagement, support and problem solving within Halton. The right candidate will have experience of working within Community Safety to tackle issues of crime/anti-social behaviour and be articulate and accurate in relation to community safety issues. You will also posess experience of case management including undertaking assessments, identifying need and developing multi-agency action plans in partnership. The post is office based at The Municpal Building, Widnes, Cheshire. Your Contributions: To work as a member of the Enforcement Team delivering support in response to reported issues of low-level crime and anti-social behaviour into the service and through multi-agency problem solving working in Halton’s Community Safety Partnership. To work restoratively with those harmed by anti-social behaviour to encourage behaviour change and to work with alleged offenders to understand the harms and divert away from crime and anti-social behaviour. To be responsible for the management of casework relating to anti-social behaviour, both with victims and offenders to reduce the negative impact on the community. To develop action plans in response to anti-social behaviour and low level crime in partnership with internal and external partners. Provide a lead role on the implementation of action plans, problem solving and community engagement and support in relation to community safety in Halton Personal attributes and circumstances Have a demonstrable understanding of equality and diversity issues and the ability to demonstrate good practice in this respect. A flexible approach to working including ability to work core hours Monday - Friday 7:30am - 7pm and outside these hours depending upon service activity.
