Production Engineering Manager WHAT YOU WILL DO The successful candidate will report to the Operations Support Manager, within the department responsible for all current models, new product introduction, engineering and continuous improvement activities within the plant. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers collaborating across functions, from production, quality, logistics and maintenance. The interaction will be within the manufacturing plant and group staff across Europe. Identify and implement new technologies, including specification of requirements, capex justification, planning, and implementation. Drive actions with cross functional teams to improve plant KPIs, ensuring production attainment, efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction objectives are achieved. Provide leadership to the Production Engineering Team including Process, Design & Maintenance. Manage and develop engineering staff potential and oversee and manage engineering project resources. Implement and manage product engineering changes requests and IT improvement projects. Support electro-pneumatic production test equipment. Manage and present data to various levels of the organisation. WHAT YOU BRING ALONG Degree qualified Electro-Mechanical Engineer with experience of assembly systems engineering. Proven track record in an equivalent role delivering significant value to an organisation. Deliver innovative solutions on time and to specification. Excellent people management skills, including the ability to act as a coach providing encouragement and support to a team of multi-disciplined engineers delivering multiple projects. Ability to work effectively and communicate with cross-functional teams being a key team player is essential to this role, you will need to have good interpersonal skills and be a proactive engineering manager able to work across all levels of an organisation. Possess a practical approach to problem solving and innovation. Ability to drive process change and development in a demanding environment.
