Norfolk County Council's (NCC) Environment Service is looking for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future for Norfolk's nature and culture. About the Role: As our new Manager, you will:
* Lead the development and implementation of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy through the Norfolk and Suffolk Nature Recovery Manager.
* Collaborate with the Norfolk and Suffolk Nature Recovery Partnership to deliver impactful actions for nature recovery.
* Manage high-profile partnerships and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including external funders.
* Spearhead projects of various scales, from strategic initiatives to community-driven works.
Key Responsibilities:
* Market & Project Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to boost revenue growth and secure new funding for the team's long-term sustainability.
* Evidence Base Management: Oversee the collation and management of high-quality biodiversity and historic data that supports planning and decision-making.
* Income Generation: Utilize your commercial expertise in securing external funding and generating income.
* Project Management: Lead multiple projects from initiation to completion with a calm and positive approach to problem-solving.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Leverage your strong influencing skills to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
* Team Management: Lead a diverse team including project managers and specialists.
About You:
* You are a motivated programme/project professional with a proven track record in stakeholder management and collaborative working.
* You have experience in income generation and securing external funding.
* You excel in managing multiple projects and have a flexible approach to working with teams.
* You are an experienced people manager and leader, ready to join our enthusiastic and dynamic group of project managers and specialists.
