There is an exciting opportunity to join the UHDB PACS/RIS team as a Senior Radiographic Imaging Information Systems Administrator
In this role, you will be an integral member of the Imaging Information Systems Team to support the successful operation of the Imaging Information systems within Radiology (For example: PACS, RIS, voice recognition, IEP etc) and links with EPR within Imaging, throughout the Trust and wider Health Community.
Working under the Imaging Information Systems Manager, the post holder will support the monitoring of the RIS/PACS/EPR systems to ensure that, in conjunction with the third party service providers, the systems are available to users hospital/community-wide. The post holder will also support future Radiology IT projects and developments and be part of the implementation, RIS/EPR/PACS training and on-going support team.
The post will provide the opportunity to work as a Senior member of the team providing supervision and guidance to support staff, together with training and support on Radiology clinical systems to Imaging staff.
• To assist the Imaging Information Systems Management team in providing support for the maintenance, development and integration of all systems across all UHDB sites. Liaising with third party suppliers where necessary.
• As PACS and RIS are a Trust requirement for 24x7 working there could be occasions when you would be required to attend the Trust outside of normal working hours to support and enable the continued running of the information systems.
• Lead by example with accurate and efficient use of Imaging Information Systems.
• Supporting users of Imaging Information systems as required inclusive of Imaging Information Systems Clerical/Support team.
• Issuing password by agreed protocol as required
• PACS housekeeping, eg Merging, inputting, splitting etc
• Request RIS menus for new users or changes in access
• Assist in the maintenance and updates for the RIS dictionaries
• Training users of Imaging Information systems as required
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of the RIS/HIS system to enable complex trouble shooting
• Carry our regular audit to access quality of data
• Active involvement in system upgrades and user acceptance testing
• Active involvement in future Radiology IT projects, imaging workflow and referral pathway developments
• Maintain knowledge of all Imaging Information Systems team workflows including image transfer, supporting anonymisation of images for research purposes and importing studies on to PACS.
