In this role, you’ll act as an internal consultant, designing and delivering impactful OD interventions that align with our strategic goals. Working collaboratively and in partnership with leaders and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll advise on, lead, and support activities that enhance employee experience, strengthen organisational effectiveness, and foster an inclusive workplace.
You’ll need exceptional expertise in organisational development practices, leadership coaching, and facilitation, paired with a flair for influencing and inspiring change. Creativity, initiative, and the ability to build strong relationships will be key to succeeding in this role.

As an Organisation Development and Leadership Consultant, you will deliver initiatives that strengthen leadership, improve team effectiveness, and foster a collaborative, values-driven workplace. Partnering with leaders and teams, you will design and deliver Organisation Development (OD) interventions aligned with our strategic objectives to achieve measurable impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Act as a consultant, partnering with leaders to identify challenges and collaboratively design evidence-based OD interventions that drive sustainable change.
• Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and team sessions to inspire collaboration and embed our organisational values.
• Conduct diagnostics to identify barriers to cultural change and develop practical solutions.
• Use data and feedback to evaluate interventions, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organisational goals.

Organisation Development:
• Provide highly specialised expertise and advice in OD practices, including large-scale culture change, facilitation, organisation design, diagnostics, group dynamics, psychometric assessments, and coaching and mentoring.
• Play a key role in the internal Leadership & OD Consultancy Service, utilising the OD Consulting Cycle and specialist knowledge to deliver an effective, evidence-based service.
• Work with teams to design and implement OD initiatives, monitor impact, and ensure interventions are evaluated effectively.
• Contribute to the development of OD strategies and programmes that align with the Trust's goals.
• Lead in developing and delivering plans to embed the Trust's values and associated behaviours.
• Collaborate with directorates to enhance the capacity and capability of managers to undertake OD activities.
• Introduce a range of tools and methodologies to embed good practice across the Trust.
• Influence and challenge leaders at all levels to act as catalysts for culture change, acting as role models by demonstrating leadership and expertise.
• Analyse and act on information to proactively manage targets, standards, and action plans for OD activity.
• Lead delegated project work, ensuring agreed outcomes are monitored and communicated effectively.
Leadership & Talent:
• Conduct scoping exercises and training needs analysis to identify skills gaps and inform programme content and design.
• Evaluate the impact of programmes to measure behavioural and cultural change against internal and national metrics (e.g., sickness, absence, morale, turnover, NHS People Plan).
• Provide one-on-one coaching to leaders to help them refine their leadership style, navigate complex challenges, and achieve personal and organisational goals.
• Use various assessment tools (e.g., personality tests, leadership style inventories) to evaluate leaders’ strengths, weaknesses, and potential.
Workshop and Intervention Delivery:
• Design, plan, organise, and facilitate workshops, programmes, focus groups, and other interventions.
• Deliver engaging and interactive sessions to stimulate reflection, encourage participation, and promote open dialogue.
• Utilise a variety of instructional techniques and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment during workshops, encouraging active participation from all attendees.
• Promote networking and relationship-building across teams and directorates, enhancing shared understanding among colleagues.
• Act as a champion for organisational values, inspiring colleagues to embrace kindness, compassion, respect, and integrity.
