Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity? We have a fantastic role for you, based in Inverclyde - working with a small, agile Design team and multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for transforming concepts into reality.
You would be joining a diverse group of engineers, each bringing unique expertise to the table, from naval architecture and marine engineering to electrical and automation systems.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
1. Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Proven track record as an electrical engineer in both design office and construction environment.
3. Competent in technical, electrical system design.
4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Develop and design electrical systems for marine vessels, including:
2. Lighting and control systems.
3. Propulsion systems.
4. Automation and control systems.
5. Communication and navigation systems.
6. Safety systems (e.g., fire alarm, emergency lighting).
7. Perform electrical calculations, simulations, and load analysis.
8. Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, LR, DNV GL), and MCA regulations.
10. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines appropriate to the role.
