Job Summary
We have vacancies for two candidates to be based at either Hull Royal Infirmary or Castle Hill Hospital who are also able to support at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole District Hospital. The main purpose of this role is to support the Humber Health Partnership, which all these Hospitals belong to, with the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme of Works.
The IT Project Specialist Technician role is responsible for various duties to ensure the successful execution of Digital Projects within the portfolio of End User Experience, including:
1. Endpoints - MS Windows OS Desktops, Laptops.
2. Mobile devices - Mobiles, Tablets, Scanners, Enterprise Device Management.
3. Print - multi-function devices.
4. Collaboration Services - Collaboration technologies, Desktop Telephony, Unified Communication Equipment, Messaging.
This contract will be on a 2 year fixed term basis.
Main duties of the job
* Serve as a primary contact for Digital Project IT issues and inquiries within your service portfolio, ensuring a prompt and effective resolution process. This may be related to PC and peripheral hardware or software configuration, networking, or application specific.
* If service requests cannot be resolved within the first line service, then escalate them as appropriate to the other sections of Digital Services, ensuring that any project risks and issues are raised to the project manager.
* Provide technical support for the digital project services using advanced keyboard skills, ensuring that support is provided in a responsive and customer-focused manner with minimal disruption and troubleshooting for end-users in a timely and efficient manner.
* Perform installations, upgrades and replacements of End User Technology hardware and software, providing support and training to the end user at the point of delivery.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues in relation to the Digital Project(s), supporting by training any service users on any issues which would aid, and is appropriate, for them to complete to support any future faults.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
* Document all support activities and resolutions in the Trust ITSM Toolset Service Desk Plus and/or Digital Project Management tools as appropriate.

Education/Qualification Essential
* Educated to degree level in Digital/Technology field or equivalent experience.
* CompTIA A+ Qualification or Microsoft Technology Associate Qualification (Level 2) or equivalent work experience.
Desirable
* Certification/accreditation in specific IT products or technologies, such as MS Office.
* Knowledge of the provision of health services.
Occupational Experience Essential
* Experience of supporting the transition of products from Project Delivery into Live Service.
* Experience of working within user/customer-centric teams and delivering Digital IT related projects.
Desirable
* Experience of using Project Tools.
* Experience of working in an IT Service Delivery environment.
Knowledge and Skills Essential
* Knowledge of imaging solutions and experience of base image maintenance and development.
* Knowledge of ICT applications and related processes used in NHS clinical care setting including Microsoft Office applications, clinical information systems and other software.
