At Moorcroft Wood Primary School we have an exciting opportunity for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Specialist Resource provision, The Nest. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a team of experienced staff working together to provide a happy learning environment for a small group of pupils who either have an Education, Health and Care Plan or are on their journey towards this. The successful candidate will need: To establish good working relationships with their colleagues and SENDCO To work with the SENDCO to establish an appropriate learning environment To support the delivery of learning activities and support pupils 1:1 and in a group during these activities To promote positive values and attitudes To communicate effectively with children, parents and colleagues To monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed To prepare, maintain and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use NVQ Level 2 Qualification in supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent is a requirement Good Numeracy and Literacy skills Makaton training would be an advantage. The successful candidate will demonstrate: Good knowledge of the curriculum Ability to support children at all levels, but particularly children with SEND Commitment to working within a team to continue to provide quality services for our children and families.
