Description • Project value: £55m • Duration: 6 month (with potential to extend) • Start Date: January 2025 • Project Completion: October 2026 (excluding demolition) The project is a college replacement scheme for the Department for Education, providing 8000m2 of teaching space across two new 3-storey buildings on a live college campus. The new buildings consist of insitu RC concrete frame construction with a mix of masonry and a built-up cladding system on an SFS frame, with curtain walling & windows, a bituminous flat roofing system and internal partitions and finishes. With a proven track record of supporting the construction and completion of similar projects, on time and on budget, reporting to the Project Manager, the role will include the following duties: • Follow the Construction Phase Plan (Project Management Plan), including all site procedures and practices and completing records and documentation. • Ensuring compliance with the health and safety Management Plan and BAM Operating Procedures. • Ensuring construction environmental procedures are implemented on site. • Keeping a site diary including records of subcontractor attendance and progress. • Ensuring that appropriate quality records are being produced and monitored to verify that the works are being completed in accordance with the specified requirements • Managing direct and subcontract labour and the keeping of records and allocation sheets. • Advising on buildability issues as required. • Setting up and monitor handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation. Who are we looking for? • A broad construction-based technical experience • A proven track record of supporting the construction and completion of similar projects on time and on budget. • A relevant Health & Safety qualification and be competent to carry out site management tasks they are directed to do. • Confident in the use of IT packages and systems • Self-motivation • HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent (S/NVQ level 5, 6 or 7) or a trades background Additional requirements: • SMSTS • CSCS Card (Manager card required) • Asbestos awareness • First Aid at Work • Enhanced DBS check • Basic/Advanced Scaffold Inspection • Temporary Works • Knowledge of Building Regulations and The Building Safety Act
