Core role: This is a “hands-on” role with staff reporting.
The Healthcare Assistant's role is to provide high standards of care to all clients as directed by and under the supervision of the Registered Manager.
Principal Duties:
* To promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfillment for all clients, within a policy of managed risk-taking.
* Ensure that team members understand and endorse the aims and objectives of Royal Care through guidance, instruction, and practice.
* Responsibility for clear lines of communication ensuring staff are fully conversant with their duties, including attending regular meetings, promoting an effective ‘key-carer’ system, and supervising junior staff members.
* Identify training needs and participate in the planning and attendance of in-house training, including induction training for new staff.
* Take appropriate action to remedy any unsatisfactory staff performance, recording and reporting any significant actions.
