This role is all about offering support to our transportation team by completing administration tasks and planning transport management.
* Respond to enquiries related to retail bookings, quotes, pallet count requests, customer service issues, carrier communications, and escalations; locate and verify PODs for dedicated Pallex carriers.
* Plan Pallex deliveries, quotes for retail planning and Relay/Arrow schedules; address finance reports on missing transport costs; execute Tus for next day collections and coordinate internal PGIs, including Vendorflex and month-end stock clearance.
* Book transport vehicles ensuring appropriate sizing for pallet counts; manage fixed slot carrier references, collection times, and booking confirmations; consolidate daily dedicated shipments and communicate schedules to Operations.
* Maintain logs for failed deliveries, flagging core issues for next-day orders and providing necessary details for carrier invoicing; address deliveries requiring additional transport or charges.
* Oversee Pallex consolidation processes and manage communications on dedicated consolidations, ensuring seamless coordination for outgoing shipments on fixed vehicles.
