We are seeking a PMO Lead with a strong background in managing transformation initiatives, project governance, and portfolio management. This role will be responsible for driving large-scale programs, ensuring they align with business objectives, and implementing robust project management frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience working with senior leadership, managing risks, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Governance: Lead the establishment and continuous improvement of PMO governance frameworks, standards, and processes to ensure the successful delivery of transformation programs.
2. Portfolio Management: Oversee the portfolio of transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. Provide regular reporting on project progress, risks, and issues to senior leadership.
3. Transformation Leadership: Drive the execution of large-scale transformation programs, ensuring smooth coordination across departments and stakeholders.
4. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and priorities. Foster relationships to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.
5. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks related to transformation initiatives. Implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
6. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, ensuring they have the resources, guidance, and support needed to succeed.
7. Budget & Resource Management: Ensure appropriate resource allocation and effective budget management for all transformation programs.
8. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed project reports, status updates, and dashboards for senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations for course corrections as needed.
Required Skill & Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or a related field (PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe certification is a plus).
2. Hands-on experience in a PMO leadership role, with expertise in transformation programs and project governance.
3. Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
4. Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
5. Excellent skills in stakeholder management, risk assessment, and conflict resolution.
6. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
7. Previous experience in the Retail industry, particularly in managing transformation initiatives related to POS, OMS, or Supply Chain operations, is highly desirable.
