Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to work with our client in Diss, as part of TEC Partners - Technical Recruitment Specialists. This role would be perfect for a motivated individual who thrives working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine scheduled maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
* Respond promptly to equipment faults and failures, diagnosing and fixing breakdowns with minimal downtime.
* Install new parts and ensure machinery is fully operational, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
* Manage and control maintenance tools, equipment, and stores, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
* Address emergencies, unplanned problems, and carry out necessary repairs, prioritizing safety and minimizing disruptions.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and actively contribute to improving standards, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
* Operate specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other testing tools, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements.
* Provide continuous cover and support to ensure machinery and equipment are kept running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Qualifications and Experience:
* 18th Edition qualification, demonstrating a high level of electrical competence.
* Experience within a similar role, with a proven track record of success in maintenance and repair.
* IPAF certification, showcasing a commitment to safety and a willingness to learn.
* 2391 Test and Inspection (desirable but not essential), demonstrating a high level of technical expertise.
Key Details:
* Salary: £42,000 - £46,000.
* Working hours: 8am - 4:30pm (with a change to night shifts after the first 6 months).
