This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role indelivering urgent mental health support to children, young people, and theirfamiliesright when they need it most, and often in the comfort of their ownhome.

Main duties of the job
* You will be providing rapid, responsive assessmentsand interventions to young people in mental health crisis.
* Engaging with parents/carers
* Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teamsincluding psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, and social workers.
* Completing comprehensive risk assessments
* Engaging in weekly MDT meetings
* Participating in clinical, safeguarding andreflective supervision.
* Administrative
* Contemporaneous clinical recordkeeping.
* Work alongside clinical leads and operational leads

Job responsibilities
* Operate as part of a multidisciplinaryteam providing Crisis Intervention and Intensive Home Treatment to CYPcountywide.
* Use their initiative and takeresponsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the servicethey provide to CYP.
* Proactively engage in formaland informal education of Acute Trust staff and other partnership agencies,families and children and young people.
* Actively and creatively engageCYP and carers encouraging them to make appropriate use of the mental health,social care and voluntary services available as part of a process of recoveryand crisis management.
* Undertake full psychosocialassessments with those in need of such. Ensuring thorough, precise and timelydocumentation and dissemination of information in line with Trust policy andprocedure.
* Undertake a supervisory role tojunior staff in line with trust policy and procedure.
* Undertake acute risk assessmentand safety planning for extremely vulnerable client groups during times ofcrisis.
* Deliver High quality, evidence basedcare to a defined team caseload

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Evidence of post registered clinical qualifications/training or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of training to a minimum of post graduate diploma level
* Current registration with relevant professional body
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
* Evidence of on-going continuing professional development
* Evidence of providing a supervisor role
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.
* Ability to travel to patients at the needs of the service across a wide geographical area in a timely manner
Experience
* Extensive post registration experience in mental health care including mental health assessment and risk assessment
* Use of therapeutic interventions within mental health settings i.e. 1:1, counselling, family therapy and group work
* Delivering teaching / training
* Providing consultation
* Experience of working in a CYP service or Crisis & Home Treatment service
