Project Manager
Job Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Job Type: Contract (6 months)
Salary: Up to £35,000 - £60,000 pro-rata, depending on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours per week (7am starts) - Office Based

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage a large installation project for a well-established manufacturing company in Ferndown. This is a 6-month contract which will see you ensuring all tasks are completed on time, to the correct quality and in budget. You will be liaising and consulting with third party manufacturers, suppliers, partners, logistics companies and most importantly the customer. This product is a bespoke solution and is subject to modifications during the project.
Reporting to the Operations Director, your duties will include:
1. Customer Communication (main point of contact)
2. Cost Control management and reporting
3. Timeline and Milestones management and reporting
4. Risk Register management and reporting
5. Proactive management of the project, assessing and mitigating potential risks, whilst exploiting opportunities
6. Inter-functional communication
7. Maintain LIVE status of all aspects of the Project and make information available for use by all relevant stakeholders at all times
8. Deputy management (ensuring all areas including Project Management have suitable deputies empowered to make decisions and take actions)
9. Driving best practice and continuous Improvement throughout the process
10. Resource Management (ensuring that the project has a fair allocation of shared resource)
11. Change management
12. Drive Route Cause Analysis where required and ensure Corrective and Preventative Actions are in place
13. Agree and achieve the Project KPIs
The successful applicant:
1. Previous experience within a project management / project delivery role
2. The ability to use Microsoft Suite of Tools, in particular Microsoft Project, to a proficient level. Familiar with ERP systems
3. The ability to communicate across various internal and external departments / stakeholders
