About the Role
We are seeking a Team Manager to lead our Whitehaven Safe Haven/Crisis Support Team, providing day-to-day support and leadership to a team of Senior Case Workers and Case Workers. The successful candidate will manage resources, support networks, and public relations within and relating to the service.
The Team Manager will take a lead role in collaborating with services to ensure assessment processes result in safe service delivery and appropriate escalation where required. They will work with other providers to ensure the team's role is clearly understood within the mental health system and staff have awareness of other providers.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our new 24/7 Community Mental Health Support Hub in Whitehaven, which will transform the way mental health care is provided locally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of up to 9 staff members to deliver a service in line with commissioned contracts and quality standards, meeting SLAs and KPIs.
* Build and develop relationships with statutory and voluntary services to promote work, education, and leisure opportunities for people entering the service.
* Manage the service to ensure good support and non-clinical supervision systems are in place and adhered to.
* Maintain and establish pathways between statutory and VCSE services to support the client journey.
* Provide quarterly reports for commissioners to collate and analyze data to enhance services and meet contractual requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone with significant experience of managing a team, including HR processes, working in a health or social care setting, and managing risk.
Candidates should also have experience of working with people with severe mental illness or complex health conditions, using information to create data-driven decision making, and improving services to meet client needs.
A detailed understanding of safeguarding procedures, risk management in a crisis service, recovery in the context of mental health, and the effects of stigma and discrimination are essential.
