Right Now Group are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/ Forklift Operator for a Freight Forwarder based in Staines. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to usitilse their current forklift experience with the opportunity to start their Cargo Screening training.
Hours: 4 on 4 off (nights)
Salary: £32,000
Location: Staines
Responsibilities of a Forklift Operative :
* Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load, unload, and move freight within the warehouse.
* Ensure proper handling and storage of cargo to prevent damage.
* Assist with palletizing, wrapping, and securing freight for transport.
* Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely shipment processing.
* Follow all health and safety regulations
* Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements:
* Valid forklift certification/license.
* Previous experience operating a forklift in a freight forwarding environment.
* Knowledge of freight handling, loading techniques, and weight distribution.
* Ability to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced setting.
* Full 5 year referenceable history / DBS
