About the team we are recruiting to
We value diverse perspectives and experiences and are striving to create a workplace culture that is inclusive, accepting of all, and free from discrimination and bias.
We have a simple vision and strategy that defines what we are trying to achieve, our purpose, and our approach which underpin the principles of Adult Social Care, and we continue to work in support of this.
In a simple sense, all our work, at whatever level, should continue to support the strategy of: ‘Providing support, in the least intrusive manner possible, based on the assets, resources, and abilities that are available to people’.
What is the job role?
Working as part of the Adult Services Business Systems and Improvement team, the successful candidate will lead and manage the Adult Social Care Business Systems Team and manage the development of the Directorate's main business systems to ensure the systems are up-to-date, relevant, and supportive to the work and priorities of the directorate, its staff and managers, and the Local Authority as a whole.
You will provide high-quality information systems and management information that assist with delivering improved outcomes for people who use our services and the effective management of resources through the development of integrated systems, processes, and practices across the workforce throughout the city.
You will support the users of these information systems to ensure good quality and timely record-keeping and effective use of council resources.
You will lead the business systems function and plan and direct the day-to-day operations and priorities of the team according to customer needs and council priorities.
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
