We are recruiting for a Facilities Operative (Cleaning staff member) to work on our inpatient ward at Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital, Herne Bay. This is a part-time role contracted to 30 hours per week and will be worked over a two-week rota to include alternate weekends. You should be available to begin shifts at 7am and the full roster can be discussed at interview. Experience is welcome though not essential. Willingness to undertake a full induction and training programme at the start of your journey is essential.
Main duties of the job
This is primarily a hands-on cleaning position where you will learn all the background skills and knowledge to enable you to complete the role, e.g. enhanced and periodic clean training, NHS National Cleaning standards, completion of paperwork, equipment training and waste management.
Additional Working Pattern: Must be available from 7am and alternate weekends.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Understanding of written and verbal English language. Basic numeracy skills. Basic awareness of IT skills.
Experience
* Previous experience welcome. Willingness to be fully trained to complete the role.
Personal Attributes
* Willingness to learn cleaning and catering techniques. Positive attitude. Kind and compassionate. Able to work as part of a team.
