We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM). A key component of this role is dysphagia and we are particularly interested in experienced Band 5’s who have completed their dysphagia competencies and are ready for career progression, less experienced Band 5’s who are in the process of completing their dysphagia competencies and want to embrace the opportunity to take a Band 5-6 progression role, or therapists who wish to return to practice and require support to complete their return to practice documentation The post holder will have clinical responsibilities within the acute Speech and Language Therapy team across all inpatient wards at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. They will manage a varied caseload of patients with communication difficulties and dysphagia arising from a wide range of aetiologies. The role provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with wider teams across a range of disciplines on the acute wards.
