The role
As a Communications Business Partner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will develop an annual communication plan and roadmap to support the nuclear sector and wider business.
Day-to-day, you will support the business with the effective delivery of relevant, appropriate information and corporate communications to Babcock Clyde employees, customers, and external stakeholders. You will also:
1. The timely co-ordination of internal employee, partner, and stakeholder communications through a range of channels.
2. Lead, support and deliver marketing communications activity.
3. Lead and support external public relation, media, and event opportunities. Establish a strong network of key influencers. Prepare Lines To Take and develop news ideas to protect and enhance Babcock’s reputation.
4. Monitor the results of the feedback from events/communications etc to ensure continuous improvement in communications.
5. Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of communication tools and techniques and how these can be used across the Nuclear Sector and wider Babcock Group.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Communications Business Partner
6. Must have a good understanding of public relations, marketing, external and internal communications and demonstrate ability to deliver high quality advice and innovative solutions to meet all customer requirements.
7. Ability to gather and interpret a diverse range of information and convert into engaging internal communications material.
8. Creative thinker with ability to continually look at ways of improving and developing communications tools and channels.
9. Ability to collaborate and build good working relationships with key stakeholders to Director level.
Qualifications for the Communications Business Partner
10. Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or significant experience in similar role.
