National Account Manager
West Yorkshire - 3 days in the office
Salary – up to 65k + Electric vehicle/ 5k car allowance

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced National Account Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding key national grocery accounts across branded and own label personal care products, driving strategic growth and fostering long-term partnerships.
You will maximise sales through analysis and range reviews, providing insight and recommendations with the aim of extending ranges and targeting new opportunities. You will act as the product expert for the ranges and provide a consultative approach to customers. You will be involved in NPD and product improvement initiatives and work closely with procurement and technical teams.
We are looking for someone with strong account management skills and experience of dealing with major grocer accounts. You will need to have excellent communication skills, negotiation, data analysis, and strong commercial acumen.
Duties include:
* Strategically managing and growing accounts, working to achieve annual sales targets
* Maximise sales from analysis, range reviews and range extensions
* Analysing market data and providing recommendations and insight to the customer
* Producing sales reporting, analysing data and feeding back to the business and clients
* Looking at product improvement initiatives, working closely with colleagues to develop ideas
* Developing new accounts and opportunities
Requirements:
* National Account Management experience working with major UK grocers
* FMCG – Health/ personal care desirable
* Experience with branded and own label products desirable
* Strong relationship building and consultative approach
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Excellent negotiation skills and strong commercial acumen
* Excellent analytical skills and strong Excel knowledge
* Experience in pulling together high value tenders
* Able to analyse trends and provide recommendations
