NES Fircroft are partnering with our major Engineering & Services client to provide a number of Control & Instrumentation Engineers at all levels for long-term Nuclear projects based out of their Warrington office. Hybrid working available. 3-year contract duration.
Job Role:
CE&I Engineers – Required to deliver work packages across various system scope on a Sellafield project, across all 3 off SEP Machines, in a wide variety of Control, Electrical & Instrumentation problem solving scenarios.
Responsibilities of the C&I Engineer:
Review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to identify control requirements.
Select and specify field instruments based on process conditions and application needs.
Develop control system architecture, including loop diagrams, control logic, and interlocks.
Prepare instrument data sheets, material requisitions, and technical specifications for procurement.
Design and review control system wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and hook-up drawings.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil) to ensure proper integration of control systems.
Review vendor drawings and documentation for compliance with project requirements.
Performs related duties as and when instructed by the E,C&I Group ManagerQualifications:
BSc / BEng, in Instrumentation Engineering
Desirable: CompEx 12
Minimum of 2 years general engineering experience – Nuclear experience desirable
Well-developed understanding of Matrix management systems and organisational structures
Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering design programs.
Understanding of British and common international standards and regulatory authority requirements
Experience with other disciplines including processing plant construction, commissioning, and operation
High levels of initiative and “get up and go” to manage own workflow to meet objectives.
