Head of Information Technology
Sinclair Pharma, a global leader in injectable products and medical devices, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of IT to join the Operations Global Leadership Team. The Head of IT will oversee the development, implementation, and management of IT strategy, systems, infrastructure, and digital solutions across Sinclair Pharma’s global operations. This role is critical to ensuring that the company’s IT platforms align with business needs, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting regulatory compliance.
The Head of IT will manage the global IT team and ensure that all IT systems, including global ERP and CRM systems, are deployed, maintained, and optimized to support business functions. This position requires an individual with a deep understanding of IT operations in regulated industries, particularly the injectable medical device sector, and strong expertise in deploying and managing enterprise-wide IT systems.
IT Strategy and Leadership:
* Develop and execute the global IT strategy to ensure technology solutions meet Sinclair Pharma’s business objectives and operational requirements across all international sites.
* Manage and optimize global IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems and platforms' availability, performance, and security.
* Lead IT operations within the Operations Leadership Team, contributing to the company’s overall strategy and ensuring IT resources are aligned with business needs.
* Develop and manage the IT budget, balancing cost control with performance and growth objectives.
* Lead the global IT team, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented environment that drives innovation and continuous improvement.
IT Operations Management:
* Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including systems, networks, and infrastructure across multiple locations, ensuring reliable and seamless IT service delivery.
* Ensure the effective deployment and management of ERP and CRM systems across the company, driving system integration and supporting all key business functions such as manufacturing, customer service, sales, and logistics.
* Lead the deployment of other enterprise systems and tools, including data analytics, business intelligence, and automation solutions, to improve business operations.
* Manage IT support functions to ensure quick resolution of technical issues and minimal disruption to daily operations.
Cybersecurity and Compliance:
* Develop and enforce the cybersecurity strategy, ensuring that Sinclair Pharma’s IT systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with global regulatory standards.
* Establish IT security policies and ensure systems are protected from external and internal threats by GDPR, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations.
* Regularly assess security risks, perform audits and vulnerability assessments, and manage incident response processes to protect company data.
* Ensure IT systems comply with regulatory requirements such as ISO 13485 and the medical device industry standards.
ERP and CRM Systems Implementation:
* Oversee the successful deployment, management, and optimization of global ERP and CRM systems, ensuring they are effectively integrated and support business processes across all regions.
* Lead global system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and that systems deliver maximum value.
* Collaborate with manufacturing, customer service, sales, and logistics business leaders to ensure that ERP and CRM systems meet their needs and improve operational efficiency.
* Provide training and ongoing support for employees across global sites on ERP and CRM systems to ensure effective use and troubleshooting.
Innovation and Digital Transformation:
* Lead the development and execution of digital transformation initiatives to optimize business processes, improve data management, and enhance business decision-making.
* Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve data-driven decision-making, enhance automation, and streamline operations across the organization.
* Assess and recommend innovative cloud solutions, automation tools, and other emerging technologies that will improve operational efficiency and scalability.
Collaboration with Business Functions:
* Work closely with the Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, and Sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment between IT systems and business needs.
* Collaborate with external vendors and partners to source and implement IT solutions that enhance the company’s global IT landscape.
* Ensure system integration and smooth operation across multiple global locations, facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
IT Governance and Risk Management:
* Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks, ensuring that IT processes and projects adhere to industry best practices and support the company’s goals.
* Implement risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate IT-related risks, including data security, system failures, and compliance risks.
* Lead the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the protection of IT systems and data in the event of disruptions.
Qualifications & Skills:
* At least 10 years of experience in IT leadership, with a proven track record of managing global IT operations in the medical device or regulated industries.
* Extensive experience deploying and managing global ERP and CRM systems, focusing on enterprise-wide implementation and integration.
* Strong background in IT infrastructure management, including cloud services, networking, and enterprise software solutions.
* Expertise in cybersecurity and ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards.
* Excellent project management skills, with experience leading large-scale IT projects on time and within budget.
* Proven ability to optimize IT systems to drive business performance, efficiency, and scalability.
* Leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in complex IT environments.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and business functions.
* Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
