Bouygues UK has an exciting opportunity available for a project-based Quality Manager to work on a data centre project in Newport. Job Purpose and Scope: To support the project by advising on the measures required to identify and control quality risks and ensure the requirements of the Project Quality Management Plan and BYUK processes are implemented. Accountabilities and Key Tasks: General: Promote a Right First-Time approach to project delivery, and the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle of continuous improvement. Update and communicate the Project Quality Risk assessment. Manage quality risks and ensure compliance with the Quality Management Plan. Highlight key quality risks, issue NCRs and stop works (QSOWN) if required. Adhere to Company Health and Safety practices and policies. Design Coordination/Package Procurement: Participate in design reviews for buildability and compliance. Ensure package procurement scopes consider quality risks. Quality Delivery: Support package teams in the Pre-Start processes. Ensure managers are knowledgeable in quality control processes. Conduct supply chain inspections for compliance and resolve quality issues. Assist with Root Cause Analysis and manage the QA/QC Tracker. Reporting / Audits: Assist in site audits and monthly quality reporting. Monitor Quality Verification Files and support audits. Training: Provide quality inductions and training to new project staff. Provide quality process training and facilitate/support access to technical training. Facilitate knowledge sharing and deliver training sessions. Update the Project Training/CPD programme. Essential and Desirable Criteria: Essential: Have a formal qualification in building or construction. Have general building or civils experience. Experience in planning for Identification/Management of Risk. Have a recognised knowledge of building techniques and best practice. IT skills. Excellent communication skills. CSCS registration / card. Desirable: Member of institute of Clerk of Works. Member of the Institute of Quality Assurance.
