Job Title: Waitress/Waiter at Bistro Moose Coffee
Location: Manchester
Job Summary: Waiters are primarily responsible for ensuring customers have a positive experience. Your approach and communication will influence this significantly.
Principal Tasks – Front of House
1. Ensure customer orders are taken properly and communicated to the kitchen.
2. Make customers aware of daily specials.
3. Inform customers of delays and/or waiting times.
4. Ensure tables/seating are clean.
5. Ensure all tables have menus and condiments are full.
6. Repeat orders to the customer prior to processing.
7. Deal with all complaints in a professional manner.
8. Ensure drinks are made properly and served consistently.
9. Serve food quickly and to the highest standard.
10. Maintain personal hygiene standards consistently.
11. Undertake cleaning duties correctly using equipment and appropriate cleaning products.
12. Complete pre-opening preparation.
13. Conduct end-of-day clean down properly.
14. Strictly apply the Moose dress code.
15. Avoid wearing chipped nail varnish or jewellery that may cause offence.
Principal Tasks – Managing Transactions
1. Communicate customer bills accurately.
2. Process cash/card transactions properly.
3. Handle telephone enquiries appropriately.
4. Undertake Moose duties in a professional manner.
5. Complete all duties requested by The Front of House Manager, Deputy, or Directors.

Essential:
1. Ability to serve food and drink in a fast-paced restaurant.
2. A professional and friendly customer-focused manner.
Desirable:
1. Experience of working in a café or restaurant.
