We are seeking an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join a growing team in an exciting industry!
You will be responsible for designing a range of precast and in situ concrete solutions utilising innovative laser-cut reinforcing technology.
In this role, you will be technically responsible for reinforcement technology innovation, development and validation for a range of applications in all sectors of the construction industry.
You will be responsible for:
1. Acting as technical lead on projects large and small.
2. Liaising with and leading other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design solution that meets the Clients objectives.
3. Undertaking analysis and design using a range of software packages and from first principles.
4. Ensuring that quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports etc.) is maintained.
5. Preparing high-quality technical reports and calculations to support internal and external sign-off.
6. Liaising and working with the internal team of other mechanical/structural engineers and contract/business managers, and external parties such as experimental testing facilities and Universities.
7. Developing own knowledge and ability. Continuous improvement activities to support business growth.
8. Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve design practices and enhance construction efficiency.
9. Keeping senior management up to date on project status and progress.
Your Skills and Experience:
1. Qualified to MEng degree (or BEng and Masters) in Civil/Structural engineering.
2. Be a Chartered Structural Engineer with ICE or IStructE.
3. Proficient in the use of 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX, Autodesk Suite or similar).
4. A high degree of initiative and strong problem-solving capability.
5. Demonstrable practical manufacturing or assembly experience.
6. The ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a member of a high-performance team.
7. Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
