Our client is currently looking for a Business Development Manager to work at their Suffolk office. The company a Freight Forwarder dealing in the European markets, has seen extensive growth over the past 10 years and requires a candidate who has an understanding of how the freight industry works and has a proven track record within sales. The role will predominantly be working within the office and visiting clients to establish good customer relationships and have an understanding of their business needs. Duties will include: Researching the internet, linked in, Google and varies websites to source new clients Responding to incoming calls and emails Develop and maintain relationships with customers Calling existing customer in order to gain any new potential business. Produce tenders where necessary Liaison with operations team and other departments to find the most suitable transportation that is relevant to the customers needs whilst maximising revenue Prepare and follow up on sales quotations Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with customers. Maximising profits on sales quotations Experience required: You must have experience of working within a sales environment You will also have experience of working within the Logistics/Freight Forwarding industry.
